Teenage Fanclub

I always say how quickly that time flies. About this time last year, I went to Europe to do some work. I worked out of Amsterdam. The culture over there is obviously very different...people smoking all types of substances, sex stores on every corner, and women offering up all kinds of sex for a price. While I was over there, I noticed that one of my favorite bands was playing at the Heineken Music Hall. Most music enthusiasts are familiar with the band Teenage Fanclub. They have been around since the late 80's and have put out many excellent albums. While at the concert, I tested out my new digital camera and came up with a few of the following pics:

Stupidity Incarnate

Like most Americans I was blown away by the comments that spilled out of the mouth of John Kerry yesterday. To quote him, he said..“You know, education, if you make the most of it, you study hard, you do your homework and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well. If you don’t, you get stuck in Iraq.” Having friends who have served admirably in Iraq over the past few years, I'm just amazed that this guy could be so stupid to say something like this. Well, I guess I should take that back...Kerry isn't the sharpest tool in the shed and I think this proven true back in 2004. Kerry has flipped and flopped more times than a fish out of water when it has come to his support of the war in Iraq. He first votes for the war and for funding of the war, and then after the election, he goes about saying that he shouldn't have voted for the ware. Come on you embassal, you either vote yes or no..you can't just change your mind after you've already gone on record for supporting the war. Over the past few months, there has been alot of talk about Kerry running in 2008 for President. I think his slip of the tongue yesterday pretty much cemented the fact that he ain't gonna even be a blip on the radar. To end my rant, I have to wonder if Kerry was truly sorry for his statement. The media today mentioned that Kerry 'apologized for his statement.' If you read his statement (which he released to the Internet and didn't publicly admit), any 'educated' person could see that he is dancing around the issue and never really apologized. He tries to say that his statement was a 'botched joke.' There was nothing that sounded like a joke about his statement. Strike 3 Mr. Dumbass...and your out. Apparently the education that Mr. Kerry obtained at institutions of higher education didn't seem to guide him in the right direction.
